Jallow has ordered an inquest into the death of General Bora Colley, who passed away while in custody.<\/p>\n<p>The decision follows an application by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, dated March 10, 2025, requesting a formal inquiry into the circumstances of his death.<\/p>\n<p>Acting under Section 11(1)(a) of the Coroners Act, Laws of The Gambia, the Chief Justice determined that an inquest was necessary to uncover the cause of General Colley\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>His Worship Dawda Phatty, Principal Magistrate of the Bundung Magistrates\u2019 Court, has been appointed to lead the investigation.
