The High Court of Justice, which prosecutes former government officials, denied him bail and ordered his immediate detention<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Amadou Mansour Faye is the fifth official from the previous administration to face corruption charges since President Bassirou Diomaye Faye launched a sweeping anti-graft campaign earlier this year. Just last week, two other former ministers\u2014Moustapha Diop and Aissatou Sophie Gladima\u2014were jailed for alleged misappropriation of pandemic relief funds<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While reform advocates have praised the crackdown, critics argue that the arrests may be politically motivated.
