{"id":2612,"date":"2025-07-05T14:57:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T14:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/nra-technical-team-visits-epc-lots-12-road-projects-in-urr-crr\/"},"modified":"2025-07-05T14:57:05","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T14:57:05","slug":"nra-technical-team-visits-epc-lots-12-road-projects-in-urr-crr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/nra-technical-team-visits-epc-lots-12-road-projects-in-urr-crr\/","title":{"rendered":"NRA technical team visits EPC Lots 1&#038;2 road projects in URR &#038; CRR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of their mission to inspect and observe flood-prone areas for immediate intervention in the provincial regions, the National Roads Authority (NRA) technical team on Friday, 4th July 2025, visited the ongoing Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Lots 1 and 2 roads in the Upper River and Central River Region, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The 69km Lot 1 road project is contracted to Gai Construction Company and CityScape Associates the Consultant. It comprises several roads in the URR with a total length of 69km.<\/p>\n<p>The contractor is currently working on six (6) out of fifteen (15) roads. The roads being constructed are as follows;-<\/p>\n<p>1. Basse Manneh Kunda \u2013 Demba Kunda \u2013 Gambisara Road (12.18km).<\/p>\n<p>2. Basse &#8211; Dampha Kunda \u2013 Tambasasang Road (9.20km).<\/p>\n<p>3. Chamoi &#8211; Dampha Kunda Road (2.66km).<\/p>\n<p>4. Angalfuta Road \u2013 Reinforced Concrete Pavement (1.75km).<\/p>\n<p>5. Manneh Kunda Road \u2013 Reinforced Concrete Pavement (1.68km).<\/p>\n<p>6. Brikamaba &#8211; Boiram \u2013 Njoben Road (6.32km).<\/p>\n<p>7. Sutukoba \u2013 Chamoi Bunda Road, (27km).<\/p>\n<p>The contractor&#8217;s current activities in alleviating any flooding issues in Lot 1 include:<br \/>\nThe ongoing construction of the giant culvert at the Basse &#8211; Dampha Kunda \u2013 Tambasasang Road.<\/p>\n<p>Finalising all the critical areas for flood intervention in Numuyel, where the flood water level used to be very high.<\/p>\n<p>Working on temporary waterway structures in Chamoi Bunda Road, where it floods the people&#8217;s compounds.<\/p>\n<p>The contractor is also working on the erosion protection on the drainage structures.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, other current activities on site are concreting and payment works. They have already cleared the Brikamaba-Wellingara Ba road and are also working on addressing the recent minor flooding issue in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in Lot 2 of the EPC Roads Project in the Central River Region (CRR).<\/p>\n<p>The Contractor Cornerstone Construction company is actively working on two (2) roads out of the three (3) various road sections.<br \/>\n1: Njau Loop up to Carol Warf (12km).<\/p>\n<p>2: Karantaba-Reneru-Tabanani-Demfaye Njaga-fitu Fulla (26km).<\/p>\n<p>3: Laminkoto-Banni-Youna-Kunting (12km).<\/p>\n<p>Although there have not been any flooding issues yet, the contractor has identified measures to tackle any incoming flooding problems.<\/p>\n<p>Ongoing site works, the contractor Cornerstone is now working on both the base course and double surface dressing in the Karantaba-Reneru-Tabanani-Demfaye Njaga-fitu Fulla road.<\/p>\n<p>5km of Surface dressing has already been completed, and 11km of priming has already been done.<\/p>\n<p>However, both contractors (Gai Construction and Cornerstone) are on standby in case of any eventualities during the upcoming rains.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; As part of their mission to inspect and observe flood-prone areas for immediate&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":183,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2612","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2612","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2612"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2612\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/183"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2612"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2612"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/projects.techhivetechnologies.com\/blocktvgambia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2612"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
