Jallow, Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Sering Modou Njie extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants \u2014 including representatives from the European Union, UN agencies, the World Bank, civil society, and other key partners \u2014 for their invaluable contributions.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the Minister underscored that social protection is not a luxury, but a fundamental pillar of dignity and opportunity. He reaffirmed The Gambia\u2019s steadfast commitment to:<br \/>\n\u2705 Consolidate the gains of the National Social Protection Policy;<br \/>\n\u2705 Align future policies with sub-regional and international frameworks;<br \/>\n\u2705 Adopt sustainable financing strategies, prioritizing domestic resource mobilization in line with the Addis Ababa Declaration; and<br \/>\n\u2705 Build adaptive, resilient systems capable of responding to crises, economic shocks, and climate-related challenges.<\/p>\n<p>He further emphasized that every Dalasi invested in social protection must translate into real, measurable impact \u2014 lifting families from poverty, protecting vulnerable groups, empowering workers, and supporting persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we depart this conference,\u201d he concluded, \u201clet us move from intent to implementation \u2014 from paper to people\u2019s lives.
