He also greeted Christian compatriots who had recently celebrated Pentecost, noting that the closeness of religious holidays reflects Senegal\u2019s tradition of mutual respect and unity.<\/p>\n<p>The President emphasized that Tabaski, rooted in the sacrifice of Ibrahim, is a reminder of faith and civic duty \u2014 \u201ca lesson in renouncing part of ourselves for something greater.\u201d He acknowledged the challenges many citizens faced in celebrating the holiday, expressing gratitude to those who managed and solidarity with those who could not.<\/p>\n<p>Faye reminded the nation that the essence of Tabaski is sharing, urging religious and traditional leaders to continue praying for Senegal.
